We are staying for a week in St Chinian, a small town in the wine region of Languedoc. We are in a lovely apartment overlooking the town square which has a fantastic market on Sunday and Thursday. Very hot here, 30 plus degrees every day.

Jo and Kylie doing the weekly shop! Better than Pak n Save any day…
Here’s the results of our shopping morning at the market. The final list included sausages, 2 types of cheese, 2 types of olives, sundried tomatoes, tomatoes, leek, potato, different salamis, aubergine, peach, capsicum, bread, courgette, eggs etc etc!! It was fantastic.
Now, we hear it has been really cold in NZ, so in the next thrilling instalment we’ll give you the recipe for an amazing peasant/farmhouse white bean and sausage stew that we whipped up. Bound to keep the cold out!!
Til then, love Mike and Ky
