Tonight we went over to see Cory and Paola to get some advice about the Sth American leg of the trip. Paola is from Bolivia and Cory has lived in Bolivia over the years as well as them both travelling through a lot of the countries we are visiting.
It was great and we got a lot of useful ideas about timeframes and where to go. Needless to say that the itinerary has changed a bit – we are now leaning towards less time in Buenos Aires and heading to San Martin de los Andes rather than Bariloche.
Also probably the most handy advice of all – don’t go to Sth America without a sleeping bag because you will freeze on the buses and the Salar de Uyuni!!
